Winter Sun
18 x 36”, Oil on Canvas
There’s something about walking on a winter beach that just feels different — It is less crowded, the air is cool and crisp, but that winter sun on your face? Still warm.
That’s the feeling I wanted to capture here — a late winter evening when the light sits lower in the sky and everything begins to soften. Peach-gold tones settle along the horizon, casting long violet shadows that drift gently across the water. The shimmer moves quietly, with edges that dissolve and reappear as the light shifts.
