Silver and Stone
18 × 36 in, Oil on Canvas
Standing in the wet sand, the vastness of the ocean opens up ahead as waves move in and out around the rocks. They’ve been here long before—steady, worn, and shaped by years of tide and salt—holding their place as the water shifts around them.
Early light catches along their edges, breaking into bright flashes across the surface. The shimmer moves through and around the weight of the stone, tying the fleeting moment to the permanence of the shore.
Part of the Silver Shimmer series — exploring luminous water and atmospheric light.
